Legacy of Two

We craft narrative-driven adventure RPGs where ancient mysteries and personal choices shape a living world. Our studio focuses on deep character development, puzzle solving, and story choices that matter.

01

Narrative Exploration

Uncover forgotten histories through immersive discovery

Every ruin, every glyph, every weathered journal holds a piece of a larger story. We design environments that reward curiosity and patience, letting players piece together the past at their own pace.

02

Ancient Mysteries

Lost civilizations and the secrets they left behind

From the Sunken Wastes to the Archive of Eldara, our worlds are built on layers of forgotten knowledge. Players must decipher cryptic languages, navigate treacherous ruins, and decide what truths are worth unearthing.

03

Character Development

Two explorers, one intertwined fate

Kaelen the cartographer and his counterpart are shaped by every choice. Their personal histories, moral compromises, and evolving relationships drive the narrative forward, making each playthrough unique.

04

Puzzle Solving

Challenges that respect your intellect

Our puzzles are woven into the lore—mechanical traps, astronomical alignments, and logic gates that reflect the philosophy of the civilizations that built them. No filler, only meaningful obstacles.

05

Story Choices

Every decision echoes through the world

Branching narratives that track your moral compass, alliances, and discoveries. The 'memory web' system ensures that past choices resurface, creating a cohesive story that adapts to your actions.

2018 First Concept

The initial idea for Legacy of Two was sketched on a napkin during a game jam. The core concept of two intertwined fates and a forgotten civilization was born.

2019 Prototype & Narrative Design

A playable prototype was built, focusing on the branching story engine. The 'memory web' system was first implemented, allowing player choices to echo across chapters.

2020 Worldbuilding & Lore

The team expanded the lore of Eldara, creating a detailed history, language, and mythology. The first concept art of the Sunken Wastes and the Archive was completed.

2021 Character Deep Dive

Kaelen and his counterpart, Mira, were fully developed. Their backstories, motivations, and moral dilemmas were written, adding depth to the narrative exploration.

2022 Puzzle Integration

The puzzle-solving mechanics were integrated with the story. Each puzzle now reveals a piece of the ancient mystery, directly influencing the plot and character relationships.

2023 Closed Beta & Feedback

A closed beta was released to a small group of testers. Feedback led to significant improvements in the choice system and the pacing of the narrative.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about the world, story, and gameplay of Legacy of Two.

Story & Setting Is the story fully linear?

No. Your choices shape how Kaelen and Mira uncover the Eldaran ruins. Dialogue options, puzzle solutions, and exploration order all branch the narrative. Some paths lock out certain discoveries, so replaying reveals new layers of the mystery.

Gameplay How do puzzles work?

Puzzles are tied to ancient Eldaran mechanisms—light refraction, sound resonance, and glyph matching. Each puzzle has multiple valid solutions, and the method you choose can alter the story context or unlock hidden lore entries.

Characters Can I switch between protagonists?

Yes. You control both Kaelen and Mira at different points. Their separate perspectives reveal conflicting accounts of the same events. Later chapters let you decide whose lead to follow, affecting the final resolution.

World & Lore Is the world based on real history?

It draws inspiration from ancient Mediterranean and Near Eastern civilizations, but the Eldaran culture, its language, and its downfall are entirely fictional. The game includes an in-game archive where you can read translated tablets and field notes.

Technical What platforms is it on?

Legacy of Two launches on PC (Steam) and Nintendo Switch. A PlayStation 5 version is planned for later this year. The game supports controller and keyboard-and-mouse input.

Accessibility Are there difficulty options?

Yes. You can adjust puzzle complexity, enable hint markers, and toggle auto-save frequency. There is also a story mode that removes time-sensitive choices, letting you explore at your own pace.
